Alex Telles is set to make the move from Barcelona to FC Porto in January, and he has revealed his excitement about the opportunity to play for the Portuguese club.
Telles, who joined Barcelona in 2016, made a strong impression during his time at the Nou Camp, scoring 57 goals in 88 appearances across all competitions,Premier League Updates including 24 league goals and 64 assists.
Telles expressed his desire to leave Barca and join FC Porto after receiving several offers from top European clubs over the past few months.
"I have been impressed by the footballing style of FC Porto and I am very excited about the opportunity to play there," Telles said in a statement released by FC Porto.
Telles added that he would be eager to prove himself on the pitch with the club and would not hesitate to take part in any training sessions or matches if the opportunity arose.
He also confirmed that he had received numerous offers from other European clubs and was open to further discussions about a possible transfer.
"FC Porto is a fantastic club and I am looking forward to playing there," Telles said. "I will do everything I can to help the team achieve success."
Telles has already shown his talent on the pitch with impressive performances for Barcelona, but he is confident that he can replicate the level of performance he brought to the Nou Camp.
"I'm really happy to be joining such a great club like FC Porto," he said. "It's going to be a big step up for me and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
